What an amazing experience. We got there for the first boat to beat parking and crowds and so glad we did! It wasn't packed and it made it easy to move about the boat for the best views. Had two littles who I was worried about bringing on such a long excursion, but we saw so many whales, seals, sun fish etc it was captivating for the majority of the trip; and the little bit of down time was perfect for grabbing a quick snack and having them eat lunch. It was such an easy experience from buying tickets online, going right to the dock scanning and getting aboard. The crew was friendly, funny and very informative. It was great to be on the water on a hot day too - nice and cool and a nice break from the heat. We can't wait to go back again!

I could not recommend this tour more! You could tell everyone on the boat that works at Dolphin Whale Watch love and care for whales and the ocean itself. The tour guide taught us so much and it was so interesting. I had the best day, we ended up seeing somewhere between 24-29 whales, and it was my first time seeing whales! I would 100% recommend the Dolphin Whale Watch! If I'm ever back in MA I will 100% be coming back to see some more whales! Thank you all so much!

Loved this whale watching tour. Easy access right on the dock with lots of parking. The ride took about 3.5 hours and we saw over 10 whales! Bathroom and food on boat. Beautiful views of the cape and Atlantic Ocean. Sunset tour was amazing! If you’re going I’d bring a coat!

Had to choose between private charter and the bigger tour boat. As it turned out the private charter was funny booked so we took this.

Can't have been much better pleased with three outcome. Had a great time and more importantly we saw plenty of whales - not much else mind you.

Friendly staff and well narrated throughout the tour. Coupled with great weather conditions for sailing, we were blessed with great sightings.

Be warned this isn't always the case, but they do have a see whale guarantee policy.

Overall super happy with this experience and with the tour

We took the afternoon cruise on 5 May - great time of the year when the whales are here, but the tourist season hasn’t started.

We cruised on the DOLPHIN XI. The ship was in excellent condition with an enclosed lower deck, and an open upper deck. A small third deck was not open for this cruise. The crew was very professional and attended to all the guests’ needs. The Captain’s maneuvering skills allowed us to stay close to the whales without disturbing their feeding.

Our Naturalist Guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the region, sights on land - both near and far. As we approached Stellwagen Bank, she provided us with the clue of what to look for, and then began to quickly point out the whales as we approached.

Warning - as even our Naturalist Guide reminded us - our cruise was probably a bit of an outlier on the positive side. We saw two Right Whales from a distance (per the protection act for that species), several seals, and twenty to forty feeding humpbacks - both adults and calves. I’ve been on several whale watching cruises before, both on the east and west coasts of the U.S., and this was by far the most whales I’ve ever seen. Again, your experience may vary.
