  My boyfriend and I have been here three times since moving to Salem, and it has been great every time. Sometimes the lines are long, but it is because the ice cream is worth it! I have gotten the root beer float, mint ice cream, and vanilla ice cream. They have all been very rich and creamy tasting, and it's nice that it's around the corner from where I live. It's a seasonal ice cream place, but I recommend coming here at least once in your summer stay. They also have other options other than ice cream, which is extremely nice for those days when you don't want rich ice cream.

  Stopped here for a sweet treat, and i liked it very much. I was surprised by the proportions, they were HUGE. I ordered a marshmallow sundae with soft vanilla and a bunch of maraschino cherries...i couldn't even finish it. Would definitely come back!

  Its like a step back in time. I remember going there as a child to get a soft serve ice cream cone. The place and the ice cream have never changed. Thank you

  Lines are long but they move the orders quickly. Portions are good. Great neighborhood place to go on a hot summer night. Try to park on the street as the parking lot is quite cramped .

  My crew all ordered ice cream and said it was delicious. The only knock is cost I guess. Almost $4 for a small cone is a lot with a big family. There is no seating either so it’s a grab and to your car type of place.
  
  Oh and it’s called the diary witch but they could call it bobs ice cream stand because there is no witch theme, flavors or decor. It’s like any other ice cream stand.
