  I have been coming here since I was a kid. At least 18 years now. I loved it as a kid, a teenager, an adult and now I bring both my daughters here. It is the only place I will bring my children to swim. It is beautiful, clean, and quiet. There are miles of trails, a private and public beach, a boat ramp and you can hike, kayak, canoe, paddleboard, swim or go fishing. There are a few separate islands that you can swim to or kayak to. The park is dog friendly and it is awesome to see how many people enjoy this place just as much as I do. I am also glad I have brought the tradition of coming here into my kids lives and they get so excited when we come! You can spend the entire day here or just come for a short period of time. Beautiful atmosphere.

  Beautiful easy level hiking trails around the lake. The fishing is good and of course early is better. Active dog walking area but still maintained well. A peaceful pause in Ashland. The entrance is right off route 135.

  It's a state park with beach, playground, trails. People were playing soccer, kayaking, fishing, cycling, running, trailing, and enjoying beach. Parking lot is not marked but enough parking would be available. Views are good and relaxing. Trails is almost of 6-7 miles and would take you around 2-2:30 hrs. to complete. You'd find tiny flies which may fall in your eyes and insects which may bite.

  One of the best hiking places in Mass. The trail around the lake was extremely beautiful, peaceful and soothing. It's a pretty good trail for people who are beginners. There are fishing spots near the lake too.

  Perfect for morning walks, took the 3.5 mile hike! Totally doable, advisable to wear sweats! You’ll be greeted with so many pets throughout the hike! One of the well maintained state parks! With ample parking spaces!

+1 508-881-4092. The southwest parking lot can get a bit crowded on weekends, but the ample boat launch and large trailheads more than make up for it. Ashland reservoir is deceptively roomy and no matter how many folks are swimming, boating, or hiking, you feel like you're out on your own.
