(February 27, 2019, 7:17 pm)You really have to search for this small museum, which is about 5 miles out of Lowell. The Middlesex Canal was one the country's first canals and this little museum covers it in great detail. It is a tad dated, but being a small museum, they do their best. The staff is quite knowledgeable and helpful. As with any place in Massachusetts, there is history everywhere and the setting is quite scenic. If you are in the area, take an hour to stop in for a visit and learn a little about this pre-Erie Canal canal.

(June 26, 2018, 10:18 am)We used the function room, which was nice. Rustic and good sized for a smaller group, I wouldn't try to get 100+ people in there. Our group of about 20 for with no problems. The museum itself is neat, if you're familiar with the area, but it's not the kind of museum you might expect. Mostly just pictures and info about the old mill and the surrounding area. For a free museum though, it's worth a visit if you find yourself around the area sometime.
