After years and years of searching for a synagogue community that felt right, I finally found it at Kerem Shalom. There is an extraordinary warmth, openness, and inclusivity here. Our Reconstructionist-ordained Rabbi is energizing and so inspiring, committed to making Judaism meaningful to our modern lives and aligned with our intellect and reason. Everyone is a cherished member. It is a place that nourishes my spiritual yearnings, with an emphasis on connection to the natural world and all of humanity. I can't say enough about what being part of this community means to our family.
Thank you for this wonderfully vibrate inclusive community.
Kerem Shalom is a welcoming community where people can explore their beliefs and support the values that are the core of Judiasm.
Kerem Shalom is a welcoming, inclusive community. I know this because not only am I in a mixed religious family, but a mixed racial family as well. My children attend Hebrew School at Kerem Shalom and consider the community to be family. The new(ish) Rabbi is FABULOUS. He is compassionate, educated, enthusiastic and exciting. He makes Judaism interesting and available to all. It is completely worth dropping into a Friday night service or a children's Tot Shabbat to check it out for yourself!
Kerem Shalom has helped me to reconnect with my Jewish childhood after many years of ignoring it. A welcoming, caring community for all types of families and all types of people. i enjoy the peacefulness and release that comes from ending the work week with a Shabbat service filled with music and discourse and prayer.
