  I have recurring pain, tension and tightness in my left shoulder. I received acupuncture over a number of sessions. Was my first experience with acupuncture. My pain and tightness were relieved. With my past history, about which I will not go into, I am slow to enter into any help, and this, my first experience out of the typical medical model, was vulnerability-producing. I felt safe enough to continue and to consider returning as I see how this practice’s services could support my other efforts toward wholeness and well-being.

  I fractured my coccyx (tailbone) a few months ago. After two months out of work I was told, by the orthopedic doctor I was seeing,that I could return to work on light duty. After being back to work on light duty for almost 3 months with worsening tailbone pain I randomly woke up and could not move. I had such excrutiating back that i literally could not get myself out of bed ( i am 23 years old in great health besides this injury). I knew if i went to the ER they would make me have another xray and tell me to rest my tailbone, as they had before. This was more than that, something needed to be done. I needed help! I looked up the nearest acupuncturists and called a few. This was on a weekend. George, at integrative wellness in Stow, MA was the only one who answered my call, listened to my situation, and told me he could see me and help me that day! He realized the severity of my condition. I could hardly walk and needed someone to drive me to see him. He stayed on his time off to help me. Going to George was one of the wisest decisions I have ever made. When i first went in to see him i was hunched over in severe back pain, not just tailbone pain. He made sure to fully understand my situation and was extremely gentle and thorough in his treatments. After the first time I saw him there was significant reduction in my pain and I could stand without being so hunched over. George tended to me and my needs as a client very precisely and carefully. I have never experienced any medical practitioner who has helped my condition, and been concerned with my condition and treatment the way George has. I am extremely comfortable with him and his practice. Thus far, I can truly say he has been the only medical practitioner I fully trust and feel I can put my life in his hands. Thank you George.

  I went to see George because I had poor digestion, headaches, and fatigue, and had heard great things from some former patients. After starting on my new diet, I immediately felt a dramatic change: an enormous increase in my energy level, improved clarity of thinking, and improved digestion. I've now been on my new diet for well over a year, and have noticed that I get sick far less frequently and my headaches have almost disappeared. George is a dedicated, highly-knowledgeable, and caring practitioner, and an excellent listener. Highly recommended.

  My partner Li is pregnant, and we went to see George because she was very fatigued and she also had some liver enzymes outside the normal range which concerned Li's doctors from Harvard Vanguard enough that they had her doing monthly blood tests to monitor the situation. George asked to see Li's medical test results before we came in, and he must have been surprised when she sent him a 127 page pdf. When we went in to see him, he had printed out the test results and had noted various things that concerned him deep inside the stack of papers. I am a Ph.D. myself, and I could tell he was able to understand the test results, and he could explain things to me where needed in scientific terms.
  
  He put Li on several supplements, and he suggested some dietary changes that were quite hard for her to make (adding liver to her diet, for example). He also asked for Li to request some additional tests in her next round of blood work because her symtoms suggested a few things to George, and in fact, those tests did determine that two things George suspected were out of whack. Li was 100% compliant, and saw immediate results with her energy level. She also noticed that her cravings went away. He answered questions by email over the next month, and then I took her in for a second visit, this time for acupuncture. By that time, her liver enzyme had gotten better markedly, and since then it has returned to the normal range. George also provided some great guidance in helping us find a doula, and the right birthing option.
  
  I really appreciated that George did not try to keep Li coming back. We have had experience in the past with other practitioners (chiropractors, acupuncturists) who seem to try to create a false dependency which benefits them financially. George helped Li to get her health up to optimum, and did not try at all to keep us coming back. That applied to the supplements he recommended as well. Though he could have supplied all of the recommended supplements, he let us know which ones could be gotten more economically from Whole Foods or from the internet. That really made me feel that he was looking out for our well being!
