(March 14, 2018, 12:56 am)In January of last year I had just been arrested after my fourth DWI. I was given a choice of either six months in county lock up or at least 3 months stay at a rehab center. I thought it was a pretty easy decision....half a year in jail or 3 months spending the whole time bs-ing my way in group discussions and self help classes. I expected that the same day I was done with my short rehab stint I'd be back on my own and the first thing on my list would be restocking my fridge with cases of Rolling Rock. What I didn't expect was actually learning something about why I was only interested in getting drunk as soon as I was out and why I had been spending most everyday of my life messed up on booze or drugs. I found out that most people are all the same and we all have problems that we can avoid and hide from through substance abuse or face them head on. That was just one of the things I learned at Klean..along with a staff of people that really care..a lot of them that had been in the same boat themselves. So it's been a little over a year now and I am in shock and awe and also real proud of myself .
