Yarn shops like this one are so hard to find nowadays. It is packed with yarn and patterns. The owner and her assistant are so nice and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you love to knit!
Today was my first time visiting and I had so much fun looking through everything this store had to offer! The owner has a little bit of everything (meaning it was my first time seeing a lot of fun stuff!) and a lot of books that I haven't seen anywhere else (online included). I think everyone who is looking to try a new type of yarn or project should visit and maybe you can get to see examples worked up in person! I feel like this store would be a great place to get lessons or help one on one with your project. The store also has a HUGE selection of buttons to choose from and a large sale pile in the front room (plus many of those sale items are available in bulk amounts!).
There also seemed to be a place to drop off donation items in the corner if you were wondering what to do with all those extra items we crafters make :)
I had a touch of trouble finding the storefront so I'll mention that the door isn't easy visible from the road, but if you spot the sign the door is right next to it.
Also for those of you in wheelchairs or using larger mobility devices, the isles are a little tight. Still manageable, but maybe call ahead and ask when the store is less busy so you can be helped and not feel stuck/in the way? I went in with my mobility service dog instead of my mobility device and I'll probably make the same choice in the future.
I have been going to Elissa’s Creative Warehouse for years now since I first decided to learn how to knit in order to make a Dr. Who scarf for my son. Since then I have done sweaters, hats, mittens etc. and to say that the owner, Lisa, has been patient in helping me during my many issues with all those projects would be a huge understatement. Lisa’s ability to fix every embarrassing mistake I could throw at her continues to amaze me. In selection of yarns, needles, and patterns, Lisa has never steered me wrong. Also, everyone who works there, and shops there, is friendly. I highly recommend Elissa’s Creative Warehouse for knitters -and crocheters and weavers and... - of all levels.
