LOVE this place -- and the Thurstons. I get an excellent work-out in a respectful, fun, and always encouraging environment. I also love watching them work with kids -- and hope to get a chance to let my grandkids experience this. They are always so encouraging -- to children and adults (even to an overweight 60 year old like me). I love the way they teach the kids not only to try new things and build new strength and skills but also to be courteous, respectful, and kind -- supporting one another as they train together.
I also like that they ask parents to be courteous to the staff, students, and other parents. High expectations create a pleasant atmosphere for all.
My daughter and I both train here. They are a supportive family friendly environment. They have many programs and schedules to fit everyone. They are upfront with all charges and policies. She goes to college and they are flexible with her payments. But don't take my word for it. Come and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
I've been enjoying my classes at Thurston Academy for over six years. The school is well managed and clean. When I have concerns, the staff responds promptly to resolve the issues.
Dedicated instruction and a high energy atmosphere is what they offer here. The dojos are spacious and full of training equipment, which is constantly being updated for our use. A family friendly environment for students of all ages that have the desire and commitment to learn Martial Arts.
