Good little beach to spend the weekend at. Buy the Annual parking pass if you plan to come more than three days.
Beautiful beach area, and it's not a crazy long hike from the parking lot to the water. Minus one star because the bathrooms were closed for some reason, and the port-a-pots they had are not a good substitute for a changing area. Should put up some tents or something so people can change without having to stand in a port-a-pot.

The wind advisory made for some big beautiful waves! Sorry about the screaming. I was afraid my iPhone would get wet. :).
I live in Elkhart and I get up to silver beach pier every year late fall for the salmon run but just wondered what type of action if any ( perch, trout, salmon I was up there last weekend fishing from a boat. Covered water from 80 to 210 and managed to put two nice lakers in the cooler but no silver fish.
