As foreigners from another country, new in the USA, we were praying and earnestly seeking a new church family and a “place we could call home”, a Bible saturated church, that preaches CHRIST and the Gospel.
The first church we visited, on our arrival last year in Michigan, was FBCW, and we were received with open arms! New family in America; new family in Christ. The Word is central. The church and all that it stands for, is God-centered in every way. The aim is to know Him and make Him known!
“And this is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3
Me and my wife started attending FBCW last October. Our first visit was a confirmation from The Lord in the teaching presented that day, that we were where God wanted us. The Bible teaching is excellent, and we found the brothers & sisters to be very welcoming. We have met some wonderful people in a short period of time at this church in various age groups. I would highly encourage you to give them an opportunity to open the word of God through teaching, and Godly Love.

My wife and I moved to USA last year. We previously attended a conservative evangelical church in Johannesburg, South Africa. We were delighted to find a sister church in First Baptist of Washington. If you want a church that sticks to the Bible, preaches Christ, is serious about holiness, is genuine in love, is missions-minded and contends earnestly for the faith: this is the place to be.
