My daughter graduated from OEC. She was accepted to every college she applied to, and ended up at Wayne State with an almost full ride. OEC has the warmth and nurturing of a private school with smaller classes and amazing staff. Students graduate with up to an associates degree along with their west bloomfield district high school diploma. We loved it so much that our youngest son is now in his first year there.

Oakland Early College is a phenomenal school. The teachers care so much about the students, and they have no problem helping or interacting with students. The community is very supportive and family-like, and there is a lot of connecting. Also taking college classes allows you to understand how to study and what to do when you go to a 4-year university. This school is a gem. I am so glad I chose to attend.

Oakland Early College is great for students who are passionate about their education. The programme also gives high school students a taste of college life, making OEC graduates far more prepared than students at other schools to enter the real world. I enjoyed my time at the school and I highly recommend that you consider sending your student here too!

My son was fortunate enough to enter for 9th grade and began taking college classes his first year of high school! As Denise M. stated, it is an excellent school--the head of school is 'on-task' and actively involved in the 'whole student' and the teachers and staff provide full academic support for the enrichment of student learning. My son graduated with over 80 college credits (Associate's degree) and was accepted to 4 of the 5 schools he applied to and received full rides from three of those schools.

He attends a well-known research university; his professors credit his solid academic foundation and engaging leadership presence to his high school: OAKLAND EARLY COLLEGE!

Wonderful school. My younger brother attends. Principal is very involved, as many of the staff are as well. He's completed about two college courses, and is taking 2-3 right now. He's only 15yrs. The program will have your child add an extra year, but graduate with an Associates Degree "free". So, the first two years of college for a student will be done and over with by the time they're 18, 19 years old. Win Win! Especially with college being as costly as it is now.
