This is my first time buy a chassis like the Delta 14, and it is excellent. My intention was to make my M1A Scout Squad, into a "true" Scout rifle, based on the specs called out by Col. Jeff Cooper, who pioneered the concept. The use of the new chassis allowed me to drop about 2 pounds (my scale unfortunately is not accurate to the ounce) from the rifle and it is noticably handier. Not withing the 7 pound or less spec he designated, but with rapid semi-auto fire, I believe it's "close enough". The design is extremely simple, yet handsome, and "tactical", while retaining a more traditional form factor that in my view is way more elegannt than my AR-10. Though I truly love the traditional walnut stock, this weight savings, sleek form, and quicker ability to point it well make for a wonderful variant I am happy to be able to field. I also had the good fortiune to speak directly with the founder Bill, and he was incredibly kind with his time and advice. Product is quality material, a very stout build, and fit my action and trigger assemblies with tight tolerances. I will not be suprised to see increased accuracy based on this. Extremely happy with this purchase. Many thanks to the Delta 14 team. Nice work.
