They were excellent. I was so thankful that Zandra even came out and helped me tie down and protect my bike for the drive north back to the upper peninsula. Definitely recommend this bike shop.
I took my bike in for a check up since I have not rode my bike in about 3 years. They put on the rack, added air to the tires and told me everything looked fine. No charge. When I got home the front brakes were locking. Took it back and they explained to me that I had twisted the front brake cables from loading and unloading it into my car. Bought some pedals and they installed them for me. Again, no charge. Staff seems to be knowledgeable and looking out for your best interest. Would definitely go back.
I am impressed.
With that said, I am a very hard person to impress; but the folks at Cycletherapy Bicycles are the last of a dying breed. Their attitude, knowledge, facility, inventory, pricing and friendliness are unmatched by any other local bike shop that I have been to. No pushy sales, no condescending vibes, this place was awesome. After buying several bicycles over the past couple months from other stores, I am kicking myself for not coming here sooner. 100% worth the drive, will definitely be driving past the other 6 or 7 cycle shops to get back to here. Thank you for the great experience, you treated me the same way I treat my clients - with respect and full transparency.
My wife and I went in with an idea of what we were looking for and they were able to help us narrow down what we needed that will not only work great for us now but well into the future as our skills progress. The whole process was painless and very honest. Understandably folks can get sticker shock if they’ve never shopped quality bikes but once past that, the list pricing, fair staff and pleasant staff, and a good conversation on needs fits the bill. Really talking about true needs, true skill level, and true usage helped us make our decision. The time and care taken to ensure we were happy and well setup is extremely appreciated (and can help explain some of the complaints about wait times one may see in here). I noticed this true time and care taken with all customer while we were there. I am more than willing to wait a little bit for this level of attention.
Being able to walk out with bikes in hand (actually road mine home, imagine that) in this day and age is worth so much more than I think any of us can say. (To those reading in the far future, 2020/21 is rough).
