There Carmel Apples are the Best!

We love Alexanders. They have wonderful and interesting hanging flower baskets in the spring. They sell lots of high quality annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs. They also have starter plants for your vegetable garden. During the summer, the store sells fresh produce and baked goods. In the fall they have mums and pumpkins.

This will be the second year I started coming here on several people's recommendations. There is always a great selection of plants and vegetables.

PRO TIP: Get here early in the season... The plants that they have in the first week or two of opening are a great deal for their size, a large 4in tomato plant will cost you less than $3.

One big thing I did notice this year was that they dropped the Cell size of the vegetable saplings from 4 to 3 but the price stayed the same $1.99. a lot of places are still charging the same price for a 4 cell. I'm not too worried about this though because the plants were very healthy.

Best greenhouse around for your annuals. This year they have out done themselves with a HUGE variety of planted flower boxes, planted herb, succulent & hanging flowers to choose from. So many for in the ground planting of flowers, shrubs, vegetables & herbs to choose from too. All price ranges available. They just need a bit more help checking people out. Maybe they could have someone ring up pricing right at the car and or the cashier line. Week days are best to avoid the long lines.

I have never been some place with such a large variety of plants, herbs, Peppers, vegetales, roses, Hostal, etc.!!! Absolutely beautiful and we'll organized. I brought my sister whose visiting from Texas and think I've become or will be learning to become a gardener of sorts. I just went nuts there. If ur looking for a particular plant this is "The Go To". Unfortunately there is only 1 line for this mass property so don't go there in a hurry. We went there at a not too busy time of day. Thank goodness!
