  Well I used to live in Wayne and I remember a better Road they took you all the way down to the river in which people can park and recreate, and that was the late '70s all the way through the 80s. But I also appreciate the fact that they let Mother Nature grow back and it's not as affected my man's interference so in that regard I highly appreciate it a time out there and look forward to stopping in at the end in the future.

  This "park" butts up to Mill Trail, so I'm not exactly sure where one ended and one began. I think Mill Trail was the paved nature trail connecting two roads, and it ran along a swampy creek bed. This trail was next to Dynamite Park, which appeared to be somewhat of a clearing but there was a series of wood chip covered paths weaving between those two areas and I can only guess that's part of Dynamite Park, too. We will have to come back with the dog; he seemed to really enjoy the outing.

  If you're look for a walk in the park this is the place. Early morning is the best time to see fauna.

  Dynamite Park is a large park that is directly next to the Wayne County River Rouge park.
  Dynamite Park is a rustic area.  There are just a couple of picnic tables and no lavatories.  Nevertheless it is a nice location for a picnic.  The park has several areas set aside as wildlife areas.  A visit here can give anyone an overview of the present state of natural recovery in most places in Michigan.
  Deer, coyote, raccoon, opossum, hawks, fish and the occasional eagle frequent the place.  Look for tracks wherever you can.  During Spring and Autumn you may well cross paths with one or more of the wild residents.  This is an excellent place for birdwatching.  The birds that appear here range from waterfowl, to forest birds and meadow / open space birds.
  On the edge of the park is a trail leading to ‘The Cliffs of the Rouge’ which is a natural wonder featuring a set of cliffs towering over the River Rouge.  A visit in any season will provide a unique natural viewpoint to be enjoyed by nature lovers and appreciated by students of nature.
  Walking, hiking, snowshoeing and limited biking are all natural opportunities here.  There is plenty of open space for frisbee, baseball, football or soccer on the green fields near the water station.  The fields are not marked – these would all be impromptu games played with changing boundaries.  Have fun!

  Very quiet beautiful place. If you visit,don't pollute. If you see trash on the ground throw it away. Keep our parks beautiful. You'll see deer,rabbits. All kinds of birds. And even a red tailed hawk. The river is beautiful. Lovely for walks.
