  Buncha whiners on here. Of course you can’t bring an unruly pet in a nature preserve where it could disturb its wild, resident animals. I never park by the pavilion (there are like 5 sections to Holliday Park/Nature Preserve), so I never see the shady people in that lot. The trails are maintained as much they can be with budget cuts and volunteers. Anyone else notice bare footprints in the mud in late spring?

  Nice wooded hiking trail ( snake, deer tracks, frogs, birds, poison ivy, creek . . .). Felt like I was in backwoods except for when one of many paths went by edge of residential backyards. 🙂 The geographically challenged could get lost in here; ' reminded me of Hansel and Gretel. I only got one or two 🦟 bites but I imagine you could get more when sun is going down. Some of paths were muddy when we went, but there were enough dry ones to keep us entertained. Wear appropriate footwear and bring a buddy or a compass. Pavilion at entrance for picnic. We did a good 3 miles on paths we took. 🙂

  Great hiking trails and chance ti get clise to deer and ither wildlife

  Beautiful but very small in walking space but i guess thats the point. dont go unless you cover yourself in mosquitoe spray. seriously.

There are five main entrances into the Holliday Nature Preserve: Ellsworth entrance is on the south side of Hines Drive across from Nankin Mills, behind the comfort station, near the volleyball courts. Joy entrance is located on the south side of Joy Road, just west of Wayne Road.
