The Harbors Senior Living Community of Fridley

My Father has been in this facility since November 2021. He has dementia consistent with Alzheimer's and has a history of escaping (eloping). In the beginning of his residence there he escaped many times, and each time they were patient with him and the challenges his behavior presented. I love the environment here. I really like the staff I see when I'm there and Jennifer the Executive Director seems good at what she does and pleasant. The one thing that disturbs me is this: In the nearly 10 months that my Dad has been there the Head nurse has turned over FOUR times. I have called yesterday to the Nurse and left a VM. Today when I called in the main line went right to Jennifer which makes me wonder if yet another nurse has turned over, there and/or what is going on with the staff I really hope this place gets it together enough to have a reliable Head of Nursing and staff who stays there.

This is a great place! I love the entertainment whenever we visit as a family and the food is so good! Staff has always been so helpful and grandma is so happy here! Management is always happy and offering to help, they make stops almost every time we visit just to chat and thank us for visiting grandma! It’s been a pleasant experience!

I can't say enough wonderful things about The Harbor. Recommend them highly! My brother was just placed there this week. What really impressed me was that Jennifer, the director, made time out of her busy schedule to set my brother google home up. He is legally blind and totally depends on google home to make his phone calls. But that wasn't all she is also researching how to connect google home to his TV. She is a great example for her staff to follow.
