One of my favorite MN parks to visit for a minor hike or a picnic!
Great hiking (and rock climbing, if you are into it). Tons and tons of trails of varying difficulties and lengths.
Bring a bottle of water. Also, the parking lots gets pretty full, pretty quickly. Driving through there cones to grinding halt sometimes, with people wanting to back up and get out.
If you have a MN State Parks permit, parking is included. If not, it is $7 per day.
Absolutely loved coming here with my kids! We had a picnic and then did some hiking and sight seeing.
This is an amazing park to visit at any time of year. Kids love to run around the trails looking at the glacial potholes. Wonderful Riverview's and you can even take a ride down the river.
