I was in need of a lower unit for my boat, and the insurance only paid me for a refurbished unit. I contacted BMR and spoke to them about a drive that had a reasonable price. I was told it was a new unit and I purchased it. Plus I asked if it would make it to me in three days. It was a lot to ask and it all worked out, the unit was new and it shipped fast. The whole purchase went smoothly. I felt they deserved a Google review rather than the ebay review. Thanks again for helping me out, I have a new drive for the money my insurance gave me, who could ask for anything more

BMR is most honest dealership I have ever dealt with across any kind of vehicle dealership. I have to start there because it is true. They are also very reliable, very technical, and provide outstanding service. I bought a brand new Yamaha 250 outboard from them this spring. There were very few of them available in the country. The dealers who were lucky enough to have one marked it up way over MSRP. I spoke with some of them. BMR charged exactly MSRP. I had been looking for over a year and I know they could have received more. James jr told me that their reputation was way more important than taking advantage of a supply situation. I added features that were also in short supply like a jack plate and hydraulic steering. James found them. He sometimes called many dealers. He tracked them and expedited them to make my schedule. Because of the supply shortages during spring 2022 they sometimes paid expedited fees and/or higher prices. James walked me through every one of them, explained them, and then took costs from labor or other areas to get the cost back in line with our agreement. It was a big purchase and I asked for more than just the motor. In the end, my cost was less than the purchase agreement I signed. Who does that? BMR did it for me and I will go back there for all of my boating needs. This whole long review is a true story and I love my new motor.

Fantastic service. This shop is professional and technically capable with vreat service. I had an older Yamaha 150 in for carb rebuild and lower unit replacement. The motor runs like a top. The lower unit had a faulty water pump impeller but since i was rebuilding the boat i was way past the warranty period before i found out. I brought it in and doug replaced it no questions asked. As with any shop like thisif you are reasonable and respectful you get the best response. Its clear they want their customers to be happy. I would go back there and will refer frie3

These guys went beyond what’s expected of a business ..they paid for my shipping of my lower unit due to some unforeseen delays. It arrived in time for my tournament in which I placed high enough to cover half the cost .. the unit is running better than ever . They are not only a great rebuild shop, they are good honest people..

As a manager of another local boat repair shop we used Boat Motor Recyclers for our used boat parts and lower unit components. The parts department is very knowledgeable and helpful. Whenever we need a used lower unit we call BMR first, and they usually carry the rebuilt lower unit we need. It’s great to have this used boat parts store in the southern Twin City metro area.
