There was a mishap of a neighbor backing into our car door. CarStar gave us a quick and reasonable quote, followed by friendly service and high-quality work. They even did a few extras without request (clean car mats and fixing a unrelated paint scuff). I was very impressed with their work, and we’ll be back with any future needs!
My vehicle was recently serviced by CARSTAR in Eden Prairie as they are a contracted provider with SilverRock/Carvana. My vehicle had 3-4 minor cosmetic flaws which SilverRock/Carvana approved for repair.
My initial appointment took 5 minutes for photos which were sent to their estimator, and was told I'd hear back for scheduling. After a few days of not hearing back, I called in and was able to get the service scheduled for about a month out. The one aspect of my experience that was generally disappointing was the lack of specific expectations and instructions.
The receptionist I spoke with was polite and professional, but I was not provided any specifics regarding anticipated repair duration, etc. The only detail I was given was that "Most people drop their vehicle off around 9am on the day they're scheduled." When I came in on the day of my scheduled service, I was asked "So you have transportation set up for the week?" This was a complete surprise and shock to me as no one had told me that my vehicle would be held for a week or that I would be in need of securing alternative transportation.
Luckily enough my partner works from home most days so we were able to work out carpooling at the last minute, but if she didn't have such an accommodating schedule I would not have been able to surrender my car for the 7+ days. The work done on my vehicle was as described, so no complaints on that front, but I would highly recommend ensuring clients are thoroughly aware of how long they'll need to be without their vehicle during the scheduling process.
