Wonderful staff and facility

Derrick Sheffield was wonderful in every way. My mom passed away unexpectedly on February 9th, and on February 11th we met with Derrick, and he walked my brothers and I through everything, for we've never had to plan a funeral service before and were clueless to what we were doing. Derrick walked us through every step, every stage, every piece of paper, he knew everything on the top of his head, he awnsered our silly questions, he never once rushed us, or made us feel like a burden or a bother to him, he took his time with us through every stage, he talked with us, he even made us laugh in a time where we all really needed a laugh. My mom and I were very close and I would always ask my mom where she was, it brought me comfort to know where she was and that she was safe, and I expressed this to Derrick. He made sure to tell me when my moms autopsy was completed, when she was signed off to be releaaed by the corner, when she was picked up from the corner, when she arrived at the cremation location, when her cremation was completed and was ready to be picked up and when she arrived at the funeral home. He asked if I wanted my moms hair tye. He was very attentive to how my family and I were feeling and our concerns and he made sure to help in anyway he could, like emailing me where she was at all times. That is something I will forever be grateful for, because the anxiety I felt during that week was unmeasurable and Derrick helped ease some of that anxiety. The day of my moms service all the other staff was wonderful, they made the flowers that were sent in look beautiful, they placed my moms urn beautifully in a flower arrangement, they were very delicate with her urn, they moved her into a locked office after the service to make sure she was safe and out of reach of others. The music was great and on time with her service. They allowed me to bring in our own clergyman. The food was delicious. The cook staff was kind and expressed their condolences to us. All around, Washburn-McReavy in Hopkins did an amazing job. In every way. It was beautiful, it was peaceful, it went smoothly, it fit all 100+ of us for her service, there was no confusion on payment, date or time. I highly recommend this location and especially Derrick. He deserves a raise! Thank you Washburn-McReavy for everything .

Caring, kind, and responsive staff really supported us during this difficult time. They responded to many of my questions and requests at all hours of the day and even on the weekends.

I highly recommend this Chapel for funeral services. My husband recently passed away and everything was taken care of in a respectful and caring manner. The staff was so supportive and helpful in a very difficult time. Nothing was overlooked, and everything was done compassionately with me and my family in mind.

This place is has honesty and integrity, there was a misunderstanding of price and we worked out a fair compromise. They handled the whole process funeral respectfully and kept our thoughts and feeling in mind.
