Every summer I forget about this awesome piece of history... and remember it once it’s closed for the season.
Setting reminders in my calendar now for ride the trolley... and check out the nearby Excelsior trolley I just discovered!
As a kid, we’d always get ice cream after riding the train at the (long gone) Baskin Robbins shop near the train tracks.
Great experience. It is a single train car ride for 15-20 min. Totally worth for the price of $2.50
If your a fan of vintage things like myself this one is worth a trip. Only 2 dollars a ride as well so very inexpensive. Doesn't go long but to step inside is like arriving back in time.
This is a fun thing to do if you are in the Como -Harriet lake area. Very nostalgic ride on the public transportation of yester year. Brought me back 65 years ago when us young guys would ride on the back platform and smoke. It's a short ride but also inexpensive bit of entertainment. The guide fills you in on the history. Pick a nice day
