Creative Kids Academy Orono

We are so pleased with the care and attention. Our daughter has received at CKA Orono. The teachers and staff are always welcoming and pay attention to her little quirks and personality as she develops. They constantly foster and nurture her to grow. They are always active and lively in the classroom and interacting with the children. There are no tablets or iPhones visible in the infant/toddler classroom, even when I have peaked in. Our daughter was previously at a different daycare and when I would pick her up, she was in dirty clothes of milk spit up and nose snot, crying and unhappy. Since starting at Orono CKA, whenever I have picked her up, she is always laughing or being, attended to and in clean clothes. Even when she did not have an extra pair of clothes, they provided a new shirt and pants for her. They are excellent at trying to limit the spread of illness. The staff are diligent at keeping classrooms clean and disinfect regularly.

Having had the experience of a different daycare, I am incredibly pleased and happy with the excellent staff and support that my daughter has received at Orono CKA. Of note, the core staff has remained constant. They make an effort to ensure that children, transition smoothly between classrooms and teachers do rotate between the classroom for the younger children.

I cannot say enough positive things about the leadership with Amber and Sarah, and the teachers and the staff that constantly get to know my daughter and support a nurturing environment.

This daycare is so amazing, both of my children attend and both are so loved! My son is special needs and the outpouring of love from all staff, especially his teachers Mari and Sophie, is the reason he is thriving! My daughter is greeting with love everyday from Anne Marie, Kari and Tori. They all care about the individual child and what their needs are, they are solely focused on the childs success and happiness, even if that looks different from what is successful for other children. A truly inclusive environment focused on enriching childrens lives.

We are newer to CKA and could not recommend them enough. Our daughter is currently enrolled in their infant program at their Orono location. All of the teachers and staff are amazing! The center itself is very warm and inviting. It gives me such peace of mind knowing she is getting such great care while we are at work. I love how they have a curriculum, and the amount of different activities they do in a day, The app is so nice to be able to see the different things she is participating in through out the day.

Both our kids go to CKA Orono, one in Toddlers and one about to start Pre-K. They’ve been there since they were each about 4 months old, and we are so happy to have found a place we can trust with the care of our children. Parent Aware ratings and NAEYC accreditation were very important to us in finding care that was trusted. We are grateful for everything CKA has done throughout COVID and despite everything our kids are having their best summer yet!

Our daughter started at CKA Orono as a 4 month old (now 10 mo.) - and as a first time parent, we've been nothing but impressed with the experience so far. Everything from the COVID policies, sanitizing - to the genuine interest the staff shows in our daughter's well-being. Each and every day we drop her off, she has a big smile for anyone at the door.

As parents, we toured 4 different options, and we would highly recommend checking out CKA Orono if you're looking at childcare on the West side of town that 'crosses off the boxes'.
