We love Edgcumbe Montessori! Our son is in Ms. Sherry’s preschool class, and she is incredibly capable—we are constantly impressed with how she gets all the kids participating in group circle, and our son has already learned a lot from her. The kids spend a lot of time outside, and they have a great plot of land that they use for nature walks. The manager, Ivan, is very nice and flexible with our changing schedule due to the pandemic. Overall, we can’t say enough good things about the school!
S my review is a full year late.. I did have a baby if that excuses me. So my son L has special needs and they were more than accommodating. He wore diapers up until that summer with no future of looking like he would potty train.. even with OT, and other therapies. He was potty trained with the help of the staff.. I am ever so thank you. You all went above and beyond for a daycare center. You were lyams second home and I will forever be thankful. They are all just amazing.
We were at Edgcumbe for two years and loved it. My son was challenged and supported by the teachers who felt like an extension of our family. The owners are very present in the day-to-day activities and know all the kids and their families. Its a great price for great care! We are only leaving because we moved and we are very sad to go.
We visited and applied to Edgcumbe Montessori & Day Care for care for our infant. We found them through recommendation of my coworker who also takes her child there. When we visited at pick up time, all the kids we saw were happily playing and the parents we encountered spoke highly of their experience there. The owner was very nice and answered all of our "first-time" parent questions. The location is on a quieter street in Higland Park with plenty of parking for drop off/pick up. Ultimately, we ended up at a different daycare only because of closer location to our house, but otherwise would have happily gone to Edgcumbe Montessori.
