Awesome park, always got kids around to play with. Both a baby and older kid players. There is also normally a port a potty and water fountain.
This park is known to my kids as the "truck park," because there are a lot of old toys that have been "donated" for general use. (Keep careful track of any toys you bring if you don't want them to join the collection.) The main playground has sand; the smaller one is padded and showing its age. Lots of shade from all the trees.
This is hands down our favorite park. We love that the playgrounds are shaded by big leafy trees, and we can play tennis while the kids play. The park is known for the dozens of resident yellow Tonka trucks kids share and dig with in the sand box. There's even a great ice cream stand near by called Nelson's. Seriously, Mattocks Park is thr quintessential Park for kids.
Nice little park. Multiple playgrounds for kids of all sizes. All shaded. Plus a larger field area. Quiet neighborhood spot.
Great park. Spacious with great variety of things to play with /on. Very community feeling environment.
Also right down the street from Nelson's ice cream, which is always a plus!
