Oliver Kelley Farm

The Kelley Farm is a great experience for those of any age. With it being close to our house, we opted for the annual MNHS annual membership- plus so that we can bring grandparents and friends along with us. The staff are friendly, patient and knowledgeable about the history of the farm. It is an easy way to get out, while social distancing. Whether we spend 30 minutes or entire day, it is always a great experience for us and our kids.

Yeah bring the family over. And go ahead and get the yearly pass for the historicaln sites. Take the long walk through the woods and past the river and through the prairie. Visit the old farm, explore, talk with the workers, they're super knowledgeable. After that rest in the rocking chairs over looking the farm. Finish off your visit at the modern farm. You could even help pull weeds or as we told the kids help feed the goats.

Brady had so much knowledge, and was great with our 8 year old daughter! All of the people working at the Oliver Kelley Farm were so interactive and awesome at their jobs!!

It was a quiet experience, which was very enjoyable. Nice walking trails. Super kind, knowledgeable staff. Great rocking chairs overlooking the fields. Well-marked gardens. The kids loved the animals: pigs, cows, sheep, goats, horses, and chickens. Fun, hands on activities. Clean restrooms. Nice hand-washing station. 100% recommend.

This is a great, wholesome family adventure. Lots of things to learn and beautiful farm land to take in. Lots of great picnic spots.
