  Went to Excelsoir Springs to stay at The Elms and was told about this place. The best burger ever called the sugar burger. The cheesecake was amazing also .

  If you are in Excelsior Springs and looking for a good sit down meal at a place with a good bar or fantastic wine selection this is it! I got the big pork chop and while it was a little pricey it was fantastic and well worth the money.

  Would he a 5 star rating but our food took a pretty long time. We were there on NYE so that could have been the problem, but not really an excuse for taking almost an hour. My steak was cooked perfectly but a tad tough. Not enough to make me not want to eat it. Everything else was amazing. Loved the bruschetta and the grilled zucchini. Everyone in our party of 6 was very happy with their dinner. Our Server was fantastic!!! Sadly, I can't remember her name, only because we kept referring to her as our long lost sister because she looked amazingly like the sister of some in our party. Remarkably, she even sounded somewhat like her. She was attentive, very friendly and encouraged all of us to celebrate to the fullest. She was definitely a highlight to our girls night out for NYE and a milestone birthday. A great place to celebrate.

  Where does one begin?? Me and my family absolutely LOVE Ventana. The food is so good, fresh and hot, the cheesecake is homemade, the staff are always amazing, the service never disappoints, the owners are quick witted, funny, welcoming, and INVOLVED, and the atmosphere is just charming!! I grew up in the town and Ventana has surpassed any expectation and pathed the way for other fun fantastic places to be able to thrive down town. Ventana makes me want to come home!! We were regulars until we moved and now we always come back when in town. Do yourself a favor and just go! Ask Wendy for the fall apple cheesecake. It’s to die for!   We had a wonderful dinner with friends. The setting is quaint and clean. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. We started with the smoked chicken dip and Thai salad with the Long Island peach tea and razztini martini. Followed with the soup special - lobster bisque. Our entrees were the Tuscany pasta and the prime rib. Wow! It was amazing and rivalled any gourmet restaurant in Kansas City. I highly recommend. We look forward to going back.
