I had a pleasant experience even though I was not feeling well. The staff is friendly and attentive. I was seen and cared for in an hours time. If you are in the area and need emergency medical care this is the place to go. They accept most insurances and can do x-rays if needed. To the nurses and doctors at liberty hospital urgent care, thank you for taking care of me.
I went in this morning with a cough, headache and sore throat. I got checked in with in minutes & called back to the exam room in under 10 minutes. The medical assistant swabbed me for strep, covid & the flu. Although they all came back negative, Dr. Peterson didn’t disregard that. She prescribed me medication, asked about any previous drug interactions or allergies and made sure I agreed to the plan of care. She explained everything so well and also made sure to ask if I needed a dr’s note for missing any work/activities. When I told her I did, she asked where I work/what I do. After telling her I am a nurse at NKCH she thanked me for what I do, which was so thoughtful. Overall a great experience and I was there less than an hour! Thank you liberty hospital urgent care!
Every staff member was polite, kind and empathetic. I called early on Labor Day to see if they were open. I immediately had a call back and was told to come right in and told how to work the wheel chair. Once we arrived we were warmly greeted and helped. Another person came in with a life threatening emergency and an ambulance had to be called. The staff apologized to us for the wait, no apology was needed, life threatening emergencies should come 1st.
The triage nurse, x-ray tech and nurse practitioner all treated me with care and reassured me coming in for treatment was the right thing to do. My injury was not as severe as we thought and they still were empathetic and supportive.
I highly recommend Liberty hospital urgent care.
We have sampled most all of the urgent care facilities in the northland and Liberty Hospital Urgent Care is our go to. They are fantastic. With our insurance, Children's Mercy Urgent care is ridiculously expensive and Liberty does a phenomenal job with kids. My son smashed his fingers in a door and they were so patient with helping and explaining what they were doing and making sure he understood and was as comfortable as can be. I would have expected that from a pediatric specialty but was finding it here, too, is so great. We hope we don't have to visit often, but when we do, it's always the best experience given whatever illness or accident we have encountered.
