(February 24, 2017, 10:22 pm)Dr. Tom Del Pico is very knowledgeable and seems very experienced. I've had nothing but excellent vet care from him the past 4+years when we adopted our dog from Megan's Paws and Claws animal shelter. Our dog had ear issues and we took her to one place which gave us drops. It didn't seem to get better. When it flared up worse we took her to Dr. Del Pico, our first visit there. She actually had an impacted ear and infection down in it. The drops never would have cleared the impaction. After a short procedure she was like a brand new dog!! We've been going ever since. Quality vet care. Today she's home from a surgical procedure. She's doing well. I would recommend Smithville Animal Hospital to anybody.

(July 4, 2015, 1:27 pm)We are spending the summer at Smithville Lake, volunteering for the Jerry Litton Visitors Center and we have a small dog and cat that travels with us. Recently I took my cat in to Smithville Animal Hospital to have her nails trimmed and they calmed her and got them clipped in no time. I took our dog in to have him checked for heart worm and get him on a heart worm medication along with tick medication due to the large amount of ticks here and mosquitos. They were great with my dog and got him started on the right medication. Thanks for all your help with our fur babies!
