(July 19, 2018, 3:03 pm)Parked here for a place to start a bicycle ride. Arrived around 6:30am. One guy was parked at the entrance gate sitting in his car with the engine running. One guy was parked at the bend along the road into the park with his windows and doors open. A big truck and a van were parked in the parking lot with their windows open and people sitting inside. No one had a boat trailer and none of them looked like they were headed to the river to fish. So I went for my ride fully expecting to be murdered or to return to a vandalized car. Much to my surprise, I lived thru the ride out of the park. When I returned from my ride 2 hours later, all of them were still there. The guy at the front gate was still sitting in his car with the engine running. I was going to point out that it was costing him money but I suspect he wouldn't appreciate me sharing my opinion. The other cars were still there and it was like no one had moved. And my car was fine. I can't wait to return to see if the gang is all still there. If you go, tell them I said "Hi".
So except for a big dose of creep factor, this dirty little park does have access to the river and is a nice place to ride away from. Don't take your kids, please.

Riverfront Park has a public boat ramp for the Missouri River that can be accessed off of Riverfront Road, which connects Chouteau Trafficway with Front Street. This is a public ramp that is on Parks property and was built with a grant from the Missouri Department of Conservation.
