I Love everything about this place. They truly care about every one and their well being. I was extremely nervous. Trey and all the staff made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in. Ive never seen anyone walk in or out with out a smile. They are a great team . I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much for helping so many people physically and mentally.

The therapists and staff at SERC Lee’s Summit (Lakewood) are professional, patient, caring and fun loving. The positive interaction between therapists with each other and with their patients makes going to therapy so much better. I enjoy going instead of dreading it. Their knowledge of how our bodies work is outstanding. Chrissy, Trey, Meghan, Jade and Kyle are the best. I had a hip replacement 7 weeks ago and thanks to therapists I have made significant gains. Thank you SERC.

Tray Rush is a very caring and thoughtful therapist. I saw Tray for TBI therapy, more specifically Vestibular therapy and the Vision therapy that goes hand in hand with that. I saw Tray from May through November until my insurance ran out. Tray walked beside me through my therapy - not in front of me and not behind me. He knew when to push and when to stand silently aside and observe or when to give me space to rest and process. He was ever mindful of my headaches/migraines/spikes in pain levels.

He has an intuition I've never seen in a therapist - he has a standard protocol but he never fails to think outside the box and always stays open to how the patient might respond differently. For example we figured out my brain keeps adapting to which side I'm using my cane on and I become more imbalanced on the opposite side; therefore, I need to switch sides periodically to keep my brain more balanced.

He has a keen sense of observation - he does not miss a minute detail - he is constantly watching even when you do not think he is from the moment you enter the room - he will observe how you are walking (balance), etc. he observes how your eyes are working and moving, your body stance - basically every detail - to see what needs to be worked on that day or in the future and how therapy is progressing - then he might even comment - you are walking well today - or your balance seems to be improving - or your gait is improving -

He helped me with so much more beyond the confines of the therapy room as well - we figured out I cannot multitask so he explained ways I could practice / introduce ways to walk and talk at the same time - and how to practice at home - how to crochet (a new learning experience for me that uses the eye exercises from therapy, etc.) and watch a Ted talk at the same time. How to walk around the yard and step over objects - or to create obstacle courses within my own home - the list is endless in how Tray assisted in helping me adapt what we were doing in the therapy room to what I could do to further progress outside in the real world. Tray and I would constantly "play scientist" in figuring out what was going on and how I could progress in my healing or what we could do more of or differently.

And last but not least Tray had an ah ha moment and suggested I visit an audiologist and I have hearing loss (hearing aids) Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Central Auditory Processing Disorder all caused by the TBI - so Auditory therapy is what I'm doing now. not even my ENT suggested a hearing test not even another audiologist that made my noise filters - another piece to the puzzle figured out by Tray and his "thirst for knowledge".

Tray did such a fantastic job that my neurologist recommended him by name half way through therapy - in my doctor notes she said to continue therapy with Tray Rush at SERC - not just therapy - I've never had a doctor recommend a therapist by name before. That speaks volumes.

It was exciting to go to therapy and I enjoyed it immensely - and his bright smile that greets each and every client as they come through the door at SERC was a bright ray of sunshine in my day.

And thank you to Marc Jagger SERC of Raytown for recommending Tray to me - I will be forever grateful - I saw Marc for P/T Sept. 2017 through March 2018 - best P/T hands down. I trust either of these two with any aspect of my therapy - will not go anywhere else ever again!

I can confidently say that Tray gave me hope back and was a beacon that called me forward into a much brighter future as a TBI survivor.

Gab is a sweetheart and assisted me a lot too - thanks Gab !!!!!
