I just had a home water birth with Anita as my midwife. She made my dreams come true! She is so caring and genuine. If you're considering having a home birth, i highly recommend her. Anita has attended two of my deliveries at my home. She is an expert in normal physiologic birth and is vigilant to make sure she cares for both mother and baby. The appointments are totally different and much more personalized than the care I received previously from birth center and hospital based midwives and doctors. She always gives fair information regarding all procedures. Previous providers led me to believe that their tests and procedures were required when they were not. These providers pressured me when I declined certain tests or procedures. Anita has never done that. She has always given me advance notice of tests I may choose to do so that I can do my own research on them. Other providers would begin procedures and may afterward tell me what they are doing. If Anita accidentally touched me without asking my permission first, she immediately apologized. If I declined to be touched or if I declined to be weighed, she respected my decision and didn't coerce me.
Anita's postpartum care is much better than what I received with my hospital birth. She checked in more regularly and spent more time with me, and she was always quickly available to me by phone or text.
Anita loves women and babies!
I highly recommend her for those wanting to be respected as the person making decisions for the care of their own body, pregnancy, and baby. I have chosen her as my midwife twice and would happily do so again.
I have the privilege of knowing Anita well. She is a one of a kind woman! She loves fiercely, has a servant's heart, is loyal, knowledgeable, and dependable. I'd trust her with anything!
Anita is a wonderful whole body minded midwife. She truly cares about you and your baby. I felt like I was extremely well cared for during my pregnancy, during the birth and after. She always had a compassionate ear with any of my concerns and gave me wonderful advice when I asked. I felt really blessed to have such an amazing peaceful home birth.
