Ignore all the bad reviews from a year ago. I’ve been coming here for the last 6 months and have always had a wonderful experience. Very authentic food, much better than any of the chains. Lots of dishes you can’t normally find. Staff is always extremely kind and helpful also.

I was up in Carrollton, two hours from home, helping my dad with some home improvement jobs. My plan had been to wrap things up early and hit a Mexican place on the way home I hadn't tried before.

Didn't work out that way. Hit the road late, all the non-chain restaurants closing. The Casa Tequila info on Google seemed wrong, closing at midnight. Got there about 9 pm and the open light was still on, lots of families still dinning. I asked the gentleman if the kitchen was still open, and he pretty much told me they wouldn't turn away an empty stomach.

The food was great, exactly what I wanted, as authentic of Mexican food as you'll find. Couldn't have asked for a better dinning experience. Thank you very much for your hospitality and great food!

Many of the reviews are very negative stating cold food no flavor etc. the cold food is likely do to the lack of business and bad reviews, it’s located in a pretty hard to find space. The food varies seasonings from day to day it really depends on the worker , over all good food. Costumer service might also be considered bad if you don’t speak Spanish. The aguas (waters) are amazing some of the best horchata I’ve had in Missouri coming from a person from San Diego and visiting Mexico the food is not bad. It’s a good price nice and cozy restaurant the booth is extremely comfortable and the people are so kind they just struggle with their English
