The Easter Vigil service we attended yesterday was so moving and so meaningful to our family last night. Our grandson was there specifically to make his covid delayed First Holy Communion.
We were so pleased by the quality of the music and the musical players. Much later, after Mass had ended, a few of us were still humming, "Come to the Water", a song which was sung earlier.
The triumphant use of the bells and the candles were there to remind us of Christ's return from death.
The priests and the P.S.R. program made sure to specifically honor all those coming into the church or those receiving certain sacraments. Later, they had a small reception in the basement just for these recipients.
This beautiful welcoming church made us all feel privileged and honored to attend the Vigil Mass, and to make memories for our grandson, that will last his lifetime. Thank you to all who made it possible. Your attention to detail was noticed and we appreciated everything.
Many thanks for creating this Video experience for us . It is an immeasurable means of keeping that connection to the community that we have depended on for our faith and friendships. The worship segments are so comforting with the music, and the homilies help get me through the week in this boring confined time. And by spending time to produce the "Ramblings from the Rectory" you have added a dimension of friendship that is special -- one of the attributes that set St Alban Roe apart from other parishes I have attended.
Sr Christian, I found the graduate 2020 salute very emotional even though I've seen stuff all over TV for the last week, this one got to me.
Thank you, St Alban leadership.
A lovely Roman catholic community with inspiring homilies by Fr Rick, lively music, and a very welcoming congregation. All are welcome here. A special treat was finding the hidden statuary around the grounds. Seems as though everywhere you looked there was a saint peeking out at you. Not a bad problem to have. an added bonus was having a relic of Saint Vincent de Paul on display during the octave of his feast day. Very special. A great find for this visitor.
It's been our place of worship for 32 years now. We're sad to leave. We will miss our Church Family, the Knights of Columbus group, our 7:30 Mass friends and our loving priests. Keep us in your prayers.
I sing in the choir and we do a variety of music styles. We have two terrific homilists! Great community feeling, with a school, lots of soccer teams, lots of outreach.
