Mimic Music

My son has been taking lessons with Brian of Mimic Music Services since November of 2019, and I have been so pleased with how far my son has come along these last few months. Brian is very professional, accommodating, and has a great connection with kids. He is fantastic at keeping our son engaged, encouraging him to try new things, and leads in a such positive manor. When COVID struck our area, Brian had a plan in place immediately to keep students on track, by offering virtual online lessons. He worked around our distant learning school schedules, and it became the one thing our son looked forward to during quarantine every week. Highly recommend for lessons for kids and adults as well!!!

Brian Bauer is an incredible musician and teacher. He is patient and persistent. Brian has been teaching my daughter for several years. She is now skilled at both the ukelele and the trombone. Brian engages joyfully with her and meets her where she is both skill and interest wise. He nurtures her love of composing and gently pushes her to achieve technical skills. I cannot say enough good things about Brian and Mimic Music Services. I would recommend him to all.

I’m learning to play 5 string banjo from Mimic Music and having a blast. Brian has the ability to push a student when needed - and to relax and slow down when necessary. The best part is that he can distinguish when to do either. He is extremely patient with both teaching and scheduling as I have had to change my lesson dates many times. Many individuals can play banjo really well but cannot teach. Brian can do both. If you or your child are considering banjo lessons this is the place to go. I guarantee Brian can match whatever teaching style you need. If you wanna learn but you are afraid or nervous - this is the place to be. No pressure at all and you can go at your own speed. Brian is an extremely talented musician and a great teacher. I feel fortunate that he is willing to share his life long love of music. I am an adult ukulele student learning to play my first string instrument. Brian's teaching style is upbeat, positive,and encouraging. He easily adapts to my way of learning and is very patient, always happy to go over a lesson that I may need more time with. He is great about making a small movie of what I am learning, this is so helpful in my practice. I am happy with the progress I am making and always look forward to my lesson.
