The office staff is so gentle, kind and they truly listen. Dr. Levy is extremely knowledgeable and very honest. I have recently had surgery with Dr. Levy and he thoroughly prepared me for what was to come and answered any questions I had. This was my 6th lower back spinal surgery and because of Dr. Levy I believe it may be my last. I am so grateful!
Dr. Levy performed my microdiscectomy at L4/5. I had been suffering severe pain for months that was getting worse despite physical therapy. I saw a different surgeon several weeks prior to my consultation with Dr. Levy who refused to do my operation because my symptoms were atypical (pain in leg opposite the side of the herniation on MRI) and he wanted me to lose weight before he would consider any operation (like that would be simple when I was in so much pain I could barely walk). I feared that if I didn't have surgery soon, the pain in my lower back and leg could be permanent. Dr. Levy found it unconscionable that the other surgeon would refuse to operate. We discussed that my results may not be as good as a person with a better BMI, but I would still likely be in much less pain after surgery. I felt like the other surgeon was more concerned about his success stats than me as a patient. You can immediately tell how much Dr. Levy cares about his patients. I was able to schedule surgery only 2 weeks after my initial consultation! Working with the staff to complete all the necessary paperwork for medical leave was also a breeze! After surgery, my pain was much improved immediately and mostly gone within 1 week! I expect the occasional leg pain remaining, which is only about 10% of the pain level prior to surgery, will resolve in the next few weeks as the nerve root heals. I'm so grateful to Dr. Levy for giving me my life back!
Being my first visit with Dr. Levy, I felt comfortable and he explained the facts of my situation very clear and understandable. I'm very pleased with my visit.
I contacted Dr Armond Levy after my insurance company highly recommending him. At the time, I was needing low back surgery. He had looked at my previous MRIs and noticed that my neck was in very bad condition, and that if not fixed, I would be a quadriplegic. So I agreed to the neck surgery and he did a great job not only relieving the spinal cord from being compressed, but giving my neck a natural curve, that it probably never had. His office staff along with his awesome skills, has given me a better outlook on life and by fixing my neck I am able to live without neck pain and walk more than before. I do plan to continue seeing Dr Armond Levy for my low back surgery in the future.
Dr. Levy gave me my life back! I can't thank him enough. I had been dealing with back pain for over 15 years and have not felt a sliver of pain since my surgery. He performed a single level fusion L4/L5. I would recommend him to anyone who has exhausted every other option to minimize back pain. I wish I had been referred to him sooner! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
