I was here for a day retreat. Everything about La Salle was perfect! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The spaces were just right for my group. Lunch was outstanding! I am looking forward to coming back.
La Salle is Holy Ground, such a cool place with a history more than 150 years old. Walking the halls, you're following in the footsteps of students who were educated and formed by the Christian Brothers. Staying in the West Wing dorms, you experience the Spartan lifestyle of young men further along in formation. It's refreshing to escape the noise of today and grow spiritually to boot; such a simple and peaceful life. And slowly but surely, La Salle has been updating and improving its historic venue, with work ongoing and adding to the grounds beauty.
La Salle is HOLY ground for me. I have attended no less than 12 ACTS retreats and twice as many days of reflections. The grounds were clean and very easily walkable. If needed, a golf cart was available to ride up to a grotto. The quiet and peaceable environment was just what I needed for that time of prayerful reflection.
The physical structures are constantly being upgraded. Vast improvements in the dorm side in last 6-7 years and are ongoing to this day.
The staff from the front office to the awesome cooks to the housekeeping to the outstanding volunteers are simply AMAZING.
Can not say enough of the wonderful experiences had out there.
LaSalle is “holy ground” to me...and to thousands of others...who’ve made retreats there over the past 20 years. Although the buildings are venerable, they have been spruced up remarkably in recent years — offering bright, comfortable surroundings for retreats (and other activities). The food service is wonderful too, with hearty meals that delight the taste buds. Highly recommended!
I have been to LaSalle many times over the last 14 years.
I find the people, the grounds and buildings more than adequate. They are constantly upgrading the facilities and are always welcoming and helpful to our needs when we are there. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The food is beyond compare. They have many ways you can spend time there, retreats, individual and small group retreats, dinners, star gazing just to name a few. You can also just go and walk the grounds for peace and solitude. It is holy ground and I always find peace there.
