They helped with the design, and how it would look once it was finished. It turned out perfectly. Installation was a breeze. Not sure how it is recommended to be done, but it was easily accomplished with just me,a tape measurer and a drill. I'm probably going to buy one more because it's that cool. Thanks Shawn.
