The Churro Spot

I wish I could rate more than 5 stars. El Churro Spot is hands down THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD in Omaha.. probably the entire Midwest. I’m born and raised from California before moving here (and have been to the heart of MX) so trust me when I say I Know Great Mexican food when I have it. I now travel all the way from Blair NE just to eat here on free days. The owner is wonderful and handsome and sacrifices paying for higher quality ingredients to make sure he doesn’t cut corners and you can TASTE that freshness every. time. Eat here! You will Never be disappointed! The restaurant is cute inside and the younger guy who works there is super cool and looks like Mario Lopez hahaha.
They also have a taco truck off of Dodge St.!! ❤️❤️❤️ you guys!

Always love to taste new dishes , “ bandeja paisa “ was delicious , the rice , sausage , the 2 little arepas were like a cherry in a drink , I wish they open more than just Sundays .

Eaten here a number of times and the food has always been fresh ans delish. I highly recommend the California burrito and fish tacos. To drink i recommend the Horchata (cinnimon rice milk) is always fresh and tatses homemade. The churros are also very good. This isn't a sit down where you order at your table. You order at the counter and can dine in or take your food to go. The place is a bit small but plenty of seating. It is clean, modern, and beautifully decorated.

I think it’s odd that you only get rice and beans with your meal if you come in for lunch. That should definitely be a dinner option being as though a lot of other places do that. I had to pay $3 for a side of rice and another $3 for a side of beans. Water should also be free.

Love this place so much, a hidden gem! Great vegetarian options, the enchiladas are so tasty and they have great lunch specials. Churros are also awesome - highly recommend the Bavarian cream. We’ve had some issues with the menu on door dash so my rec is to eat in or call to put your order in. If you eat there you can sample their tasty salsas 🙌🏼
