Firstly, the location for our ride (Sawmill Trailhead) was stunning. 7500 feet high so nice and cool, surrounded by mountains.
Secondly, the actual ride was just lovely. Family of five all got back safely. We had only booked about 3 hours before the ride and were looked after to a point.
Thirdly, our guide, Grace, was very nice and clearly a lover of horses.
Final positive is that this experience is about 40% cheaper than our last ride.
The negatives.
1. There was little or no attention to safety compared to other places.
2. The ride was superb, and miles better than other places, but the whole experience just lacked magic. No campfire and the after meal was just trash. I know there was not much notice, but a cheap, cold chicken burger and fries, with some lame apple pies.
3. If you are from the UK, you are expected to text a US number for location details and this was not possible for us. Took several emails to prise the location out of them.
Overall, a positive experience, would I book again? Yes, but I'd bring my own picnic. -
