Lots of scrambling, not much water there currently. Beautiful to be in the canyon, this photo was when we were leaving
Beautiful hike. Not physically difficult, but definitely technical at the end.
At the end Charleston Blvd. we can enjoy nature. Red Rock Canyon Park
This was an awesome hike. It was winter and very cold and very snowy when we went. The creek was also very full so it was very challenging to get up the trail. The waterfalls were amazing and plentiful. As you got further the trail sort of disappeared entirely, creating a make-your-own-adventure sort of path. Although it is only 2.5 miles round trip, it was slow going with the water and ice. Very fun, very beautiful. Go!
I always to s enjoy hiking in the Red Rock Canyon area when I visit Vegas. Ice box canyon was no exception. I was able to experience the cooler temps of the interior of the canyon and hiked all the way to the box end. Exploring here and hiking is a good way to find some quiet while in the city of partiers, neon and huge video screens.
