Empower Psychiatry has been the best! Dr. Ngalame was the first psych that has listened to me and cared about me. She has been a great support and actually cares how the meds affect me. She has been very understanding of my mental health and how it affects me and I can never express how amazing this experience has been! I highly recommend this practice.

I needed a new psychiatrist after moving to Las Vegas. I used psychology today where I found several providers. I was able to actually request an appointment with Dr. Bess's office online and within 3o minutes of my request, I received a call from her office to confirm my appointment date and time. I received paperwork in my email almost instantly and she gave me directions on how to proceed and what to expect. She even called me before my appointment. I had never seen someone on video before, so this was my first experience, I was nervous. I was advised on what to expect, the cost of the visits, and what all it entails. She was and is very friendly, down to earth, and actually spent time with me (60 minutes) for my appointment, which was surprising to me given I had way less with my other doctors. She does not force medications, she actually listens to me. Other than their office not accepting my insurance, I have no issues with this practice. In fact, if you have a busy lifestyle and wants convenience, you should consider this provider and practice. I like that I even get to text or use my patient portal to reach out to them. She is friendly, knowledgeable, involves me in the decision making process, and I am very happy with the service and this provider. I really liked the ease to scheduled an appointment, and the fact that she actually cares about me. I hope she starts accepting my insurance soon, either way her prices are not bad for the care I get, so it's a win win for me. I am happy I took chance with doing this.
