  Great TH for biking around Marlette lake and the world famous flume trail. Fantastic fall color display and views all around. Will get busy on weekends, no surprise there but charging $15 fee for non NV cars while construction keeps facilities closed not cool.

  For her Birthday, my wife wanted to do a hike that starts at Spooner Lake. The Marlette Lake trail is 5 miles long, 4 and half are uphill. You get an elevation change of about 1800 feet. That said, the views were beautiful. Serene mountain lake. We took the dirt road back which took about an hour and 15 minutes as it was all downhill. Worth the hike.

  We were looking for an easy trail in the Lake Tahoe area for someone with mobility issues and Spooner Lake loop was perfect. The path is mostly flat and sandy (no rocks to climb over although there is the occasional tree root) and there are many benches to take a break and enjoy the scenery along the 2.1 mile route.

  We love this hike. It's currently under construction, but the views are really beautiful. It's mostly flat and there's a nice 2 mile hike around the lake. We've come here many times over the years and enjoyed the wildlife and the lake. The drive to and from the hike offers great views of Lake Tahoe, too. In early June the wild flowers were so pretty, too!

  We came upon this lake randomly while heading to Tahoe, and did we loved it! The trails in the winter were nicely groomed, and very scenic. The lake itself was frozen and fun to walk on. I loved how it was pup friendly and they enjoyed the trails as well. We had a ton of fun here, and would come back once the construction is finished/during the summer!
