Mike is an incredible guitarist and teacher. Mike is very responsive and follows up with practice recommendations. We have joined remote lessons and Mike makes it so easy. Our son has loved working with Mike this last year. He has not only learned the guitar but also has found a love for singing. I highly recommend Mike for lessons!
I had very simple goals when I decided to learn ukulele and Mike totally gets me. I was concerned being an adult learner that I would struggle, but he is such a great teacher that my confidence builds every week. It's very relaxed and, thankfully, a judgement free zone. I'm not interested in music theory...I just want to jam to the Beach Boys. Mike is always game for a 60s/70s jam out. Truly the best part of my week.
Mike has been a great instructor for me. I had very specific goals that I wanted to achieve and Mike's ability to listen and adapt his teaching style to meet me where I was and create a path for me has been amazing.
Mike is a very talented musician who is passionate about his work. He is open-minded and puts the time in to understanding what kind of music resonates with his audience. Mike is very professional and it's been a true pleasure working and collaborating with him.
As an adult student, I can honestly say Mike Loce is an outstanding guitar teacher. I've had several knowledgeable guitar teachers throughout my life time, but from my experience Mike is the best. What sets him aside from the others is his desire to help his students reach their full potential as a guitarist. Personally what I'm truly grateful for, that no other teacher could get through my thick skull is, how to improvise using the whole neck and mixing scales while improvising. For that I'm forever grateful.
