Buchikas Bike

I absolutely love this shop. Literally anything I need they have or can get in a timely manner. They’ve worked on a few of my bike and Have done an excellent job. Wouldn’t trust any other shop. The crew here is excellent. So glad they opened and are within a 15 minute drive for me.

I'm very much a beginner to road cycling, they were very helpful with advice on sizing and what accessories they recommend.

They also have a very affordable in-house bike assembly service, even if you don't buy the bike from them, it's good piece of mind knowing that my bike is put together by people that know what they are doing!

I have been to Buchika’s twice for service on bikes. Last year I took a recumbent bike needing new cables and tuneup and just yesterday, June 10, 2022, I asked if they could check out the derailleur on my a-trike. The took it right in and started working on it right away. The derailleur needed replacement and adjustments. I charged a very fair price and was able to take it out for a good ride later in the day. I will be using this store from now on. People were friendly and knowledgeable and the store was open and bright. I got to browse while waiting.

I’ve always had good past experiences at Goodale’s but wanted to support an independent local business after Trek bought out Brad.

This place is a well kept secret - it’s doesn’t exist on Apple Maps, Facebook, or Yelp as of this review, so when I found it in a Google search I thought it was a mistake.

Turns out it’s real and tucked into that strip mall next to Lovering Volvo that most of us drive by all the time but don’t notice (Buchika’s is next to the old Weathervane for old timers).

Nothing fancy about the store Inside, but great selection of bikes given the shortage and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

If you’re looking for expert advice, ask for the days John works. He retired after 40 years at the other location and now works a few days a week for fun.

After spending an hour with John buying a bike for my daughter, fitting her for a new helmet, and getting some advice on a new mountain and road bike for me (we lost all of ours in a fire), I’ll never go to another bike store.

John is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and patient.

He treated us like we were loyal long time customers even though we just met him, took time to answer all of our questions, and never seemed rushed even though we got there near closing time.

John seemed to really care about finding us the perfect bikes, explaining what things were worth spending more on and where to save money without sacrificing quality.

He helped my daughter find an entry level mountain bike that is perfect for her, and spent well over an hour - for free - fitting my new road bike to me.
