(December 10, 2018, 2:39 pm)I had my reception at Fred and Ethel’s. And I can tell anybody getting married and looking for a place, hands down, best place ever. It’s perfect! It’s all about the people, they are, by far, the nicest, sweetest, most helpful and accommodating staff I have ever encountered. The food was amazing, the banquet room was great! My wedding was in the dead of winter, coldest day ever, they had the fire place going. Made for awesome pictures. It was so fun! Best night of my life at the best place ever! I asked my husband if we could just do it again for fun. Everybody should go here. They’re crab cake sandwiches, to die for! I love Fred and Ethel’s!

(November 22, 2018, 3:07 pm)We went to Smithville to spend a little time on Thanksgiving day. We decided to go to Fred and Ethel's for lunch. We were seated and brought drinks before we found out it was a Thanksgiving buffet only. When we told our waitress that we didn't realize it was buffet only and we just wanted the check for our drinks, she went and talked to her manager. she came back and told us there was no charge for the drinks and they were sorry for the misunderstanding. The employees were so nice and so courteous about the whole thing. We will definitely come back another time and try some items off the menu.
