(September 2, 2022, 1:31 pm)First of all, this place is spic and span. Top to bottom, one of the cleanest places I've ever been.
It's also just plain beautiful, with lots of windows and a bucolic setting in Englewood (rolling lawns with deer coming up to steal my ice cream cones, waterfalls, Zen gardens...) But, of course, we all know It's ultimately about people and it all depends on who walks through the door.
I'm relieved to say I found the nurses and aids to be compassionate, available and caring. I live in New York City and made the trip out to Englewood every day by bus because I had a hunch this place was the best place for my mom for sub-acute rehab - and I was right. Gotta give them five stars. -

(October 12, 2021, 12:25 pm)My 94 year old mom was transferred to the rehab center of the Actors Fund Home from NYU Langone Health after surgeries about a month ago. She received excellent medical and personal care from the well-trained nursing staff. The food service was great as they were able to tailor the food to my mom's medical needs. The facility strictly observed Covid protection procedure. It may seem harsh with the 14 days quarantine requirements but the facilities' recreation staff went into my mom's room to provide personal daily activities. My mom has remained Covid free, then and now. The facility was even able to get her the Covid vaccine while she was there which is a miracle since I couldn’t get her to do it on my own. My mom was also able to enjoy the tranquil garden in front of the facilities. My mom went home after about 3 weeks of stay.
