I was driving home from Ramsey back to Upstate NY at 3:30am and my phone died on what I would consider a backroad for people in NJ. Had no idea where I was but luckily saw an officer driving by. I rolled down my window and asked for directions to 17. The officer replied “I don’t help Yankee fans!” We both laughed then I followed him to 17. Job well buddy I’m the SUV, I believe the car number was 111 but I could be mistaken. That little joke turned my night right around.
When I lived there, had positive experiences with almost all of this department. There’s just a few officers who should not be employed there or need anger management (or medication). The department is run by a great chief! Very efficient dispatchers as it’s a very busy town and they multitask quite well.
