I was very nervous for my first time and I cringe when it comes to the thought of needles but the staff were very accommodating, gentle and made my experience more comfortable. The facility was clean and they seemed to do a thorough job screening each potential candidate. I would highly recommend CSL plasma to any individual that is considering donating plasma...choose this facility!!
Staff is always pleasant and taking time to make all donor's feel comfortable
I completed my first donation yesterday. It was a very smooth process. The person that did the intake was very helpful and nice. Everyone took their time explaining things to me and making sure I was ok. The nurse there was very nice and make sure I was in tip top health. The exam was very in-depth even asking what vitamins I take. The donation process in the back was very easy and the phlebotomist was very skilled. I am a hard stick, but she had no problem. After 49 mins in the back I was done. They gave me directions and told me to call if I experience any problems. The following day they gave me a follow up call to ensure I was ok.
I completed my first donation yesterday and nothing but good things to say so far. I don't wanna bad mouth any company but I worked at and donated with B Positive and this is a whole different experience. From employees to the process to the cleanliness of everything. Thanks CSL for the fast, positive experience.
Very positive experience. I've donated with other companies before, and I just got a much more professional vibe from CSL. The screening/safety brief was much more thorough. Staff is very friendly, offering bottled water and crackers prior to donation. Facility and equipment are very clean and modern. Staff genuinely seems concerned that you understand the process and that you are feeling healthy and comfortable during and after the donation. I even received a phone call the day after donation to ensure I hadn't experienced any side effects.
Wait time was non existent in every step. Other places I've donated I've sat in the chair after collection is complete for 10 minutes before a technician is available to remove the needle. Very frustrating, after 45 min of donating, to sit and wait with a needle still in your arm for no reason. I was happy to find this wasn't the case with CSL.
I wouldn't donate anywhere else. Compensation is comparable to other companies. The confidence I felt donating with CSL, combined with the convenience that you can donate at any CSL location in the area without annoying paperwork, definitely makes this my long term donation center.
